Seaquin to our Newest Sister!

Posted by Michelle Abril on April 20, 2026

This Spring 2026, the Geminate Beta Chapter of Lambda Tau Omega Sorority, Inc. proudly welcomes our newest sister, Bridget Grabijn, into our enchanting sisterhood.

From the moment Bridget crossed paths with us, her journey was unlike any other. With limited time and unique circumstances, she faced challenges that could have easily discouraged many—but not her. Bridget moved with intention, resilience, and a determination that truly reflects what it means to pursue something greater than oneself.

Despite the obstacles, she remained committed to the process, showing up with heart, strength, and purpose. Today, we celebrate not only her crossing, but everything it took for her to get here.

Bridget’s journey is a reminder that sisterhood is not defined by time, but by dedication, authenticity, and the willingness to grow. Her presence adds to the legacy of Geminate Beta, and we are honored to call her our sister.

We are incredibly proud of all that she has accomplished and even more excited for all that she will continue to achieve. Her story is only just beginning, and we know she will continue to move with impact, grace, and purpose.

Welcome to the sisterhood, Bridget. 🌊💙

A Decade of Impact: 10 Years of Beach Sweeps

Posted by Michelle Abril on April 20, 2026

This year marked a significant milestone for the Geminate Beta Chapter of Lambda Tau Omega Sorority, Inc.—10 years of continued participation in Beach Sweeps and Beach Cleanups. What began as an opportunity for service has grown into a lasting commitment to environmental stewardship and community impact across New Jersey.

Since our involvement began, our chapter has taken great pride in showing up year after year to support the protection and preservation of our local beaches. Through this consistent dedication, we have not only contributed to cleaner shorelines but have also strengthened our connection to the community and environment we serve.

In collaboration with our university and campus partners, we have been able to expand our reach beyond a single day of service. By encouraging student involvement, promoting participation through Campus Activities, and creating accessible opportunities for others to join us, we have helped foster a culture of environmental responsibility within our campus community.

Beyond the physical cleanup efforts, Beach Sweeps plays a critical role in something even greater—data collection that informs real change. The information gathered during these cleanups is used to track pollution trends and has contributed to environmental advocacy efforts that have influenced legislation here in the state of New Jersey. Knowing that our efforts are part of a larger movement that drives policy change reinforces the importance of the work we do.

As a chapter, we remain committed to continuing this legacy of service. Ten years later, we are proud to say that our impact extends beyond the shoreline—it reaches into our campus, our community, and even into the policies that help protect our environment.

Through every cleanup, every student we bring along, and every piece of data collected, we continue to show that the Mermaids will always care—about our beaches, our communities, and the future we are helping to protect.

Congratulations, Michelle Abril 🎓

The Geminate Beta Chapter of Lambda Tau Omega Sorority, Inc. proudly celebrates our current Chapter President, Michelle Abril, as she prepares to walk and graduate this May 2026 with her Master’s in Integrated Marketing.

In an incredible display of dedication and determination, Michelle completed her graduate program in less than one year, despite it traditionally being a two-year program. This remarkable achievement reflects her unwavering commitment to excellence and her drive to succeed in all that she pursues.

Throughout her academic journey, Michelle continued to lead the chapter with strength, intention, and grace. While balancing her rigorous coursework, she remained actively engaged in chapter operations and even participated in the New Member Education process this past semester, helping to bring a new sister into our organization.

Michelle has truly embodied our motto of Excellence through Integrity, Knowledge, and Education, demonstrating that hard work, perseverance, and unity are not just values we speak of—but values we live by.

Her leadership, resilience, and dedication to sisterhood have left a lasting impact on the chapter, and we are beyond proud of all that she has accomplished. As she takes this next step, we know she will continue to lead with purpose and inspire those around her.

Congratulations, Michelle—we celebrate you today and always. 💙

Fall ’25 Yard Show Recap

Posted by Zorel Morales on December 13, 2025

On September 11th, Geminate Beta attended the Fall ’25 Yard Show in Zanfino Plaza, hosted by the National Pan-Hellenic Council. The event brought out the energy with stepping, strolling, and performances by Greek orgs across campus. We saw some powerful showcases from the Pioneerettes, WP Dance Team, and Lambda Tau Omega’s National Performance Team: Tidal Wave. 🌊

Our sisters were there to support, represent, and show up in representation of LTO and our chapter. This event helped us engage with students and continue building momentum for the fall semester.

We’re always proud to be part of events that highlight culture, unity, and sisterhood on campus. Thanks to everyone who came out. We’re ready to ride this wave into a strong fall season!

40th Anniversary Beach Sweep

Posted by Zorel Morales on December 13, 2025

Every Spring and Fall, Geminate Beta proudly takes part in Beach Sweeps, a statewide cleanup initiative led by Clean Ocean Action that helps keep our New Jersey beaches beautiful and trash-free.

This year was extra special. It marked the 40th anniversary of Beach Sweeps, and our sisters showed up in full force alongside other volunteers to celebrate four decades of impact and environmental stewardship. From collecting plastic and debris to educating new volunteers, our chapter was proud to contribute to a cause that aligns with our values of community care and sustainable service.

Serving our environment isn’t just a one-time thing. It's an annual tradition we look forward to and how you can see our sisterhood in action for our community. Whether it’s your first cleanup or your fifth, we always leave with full hearts, sandy shoes, and a reminder that collective action does make a difference. 💙

Welcome Back Bash

Posted by Zorel Morales on August 28, 2025

On August 28th, Geminate Beta showed up and showed out at the Welcome Back Bash: Glow Edition, hosted in the UC Ballrooms. With glow sticks in hand and music playing all night, this event was one of the first big campus vibes of the semester.

Our sisters had a great time strolling, dancing, and bringing that signature LTO energy while connecting with new students and spreading the word about who we are. We loved getting to meet potential interests and reconnect with the Greek community at William Paterson. The support and love never go unnoticed at our school.

Events like this are about more than just fun. They give us a chance to build visibility, spark new connections, and represent what sisterhood looks like in real life. We’re excited to keep building momentum this semester and can’t wait for what’s next.
